Hysmyrgia World Map
Hello! And welcome to Hysmyrgia!
This map has been under development for over five (5) years, and I would appreciate your thoughts on this map so far.
Note that not everything here has been finished, and also this map isn't filled with everything just yet, as you may see some wool and any other blocks wandering around the map...
But anyways we can make this work together by joining to my discord! Once again, I would appreciate your thoughts, and if you'd want to help me building this world, you may submit your suggestions in my server.
Note from creator: This map will be on HIATUS for the next 12 months, which means there will be no updates for this map for a long time due to many real world situations for me to handle. And to be honest, I have faced many circumstances when it comes to working on the map alone, so if ever I would be able to set up a server that will be active 24/7, which may require special knowledge, then I would publish it for anyone who are willing to help with the map, which may depend on anyone's skill, but we can help each other without judging (unless you are a troll). And yes, more people mean more progress.
Another note: Our Discord server will still be open, don't worry, but I won't be really active there, so feel free to stay. Besides, you many want to leave comments on this page instead. And with all being said, peace and love to all! ✌️<3
All besides that, this map has some of the places ever built. This whole map is based from modern times set in the 2030s, which is the overall theme of this map. Each place has its own theme. Some of these places are the following:
Centraz, a town on a hill which was used to be a farming village
Northaz, a small town north of Centraz
Southaz, a town that has been divided into north and south
Smyrtown (work in progress), a traditional city
Coldwick, a modern town by the river
Lumine Pond (east of Coldwick), a small neighborhood believed to inhabit fireflies.
University of Hysmyrgia - a grand university located in Smyrtown
Hailcreek - a medium-density town located northeast of Smyrtown (80% complete)
Westaz, a highly dense city located west of Centraz mainly consisting of commercial and high rise buildings, with a football stadium (currently unfinished) and the "Monolith Grand Hotel" (work in progress - about 20% complete)
And yes, you may also see some unfinished structures like the coliseum just about northeast of Smyrtown, and we'll see later on as we build this map. Promise, it'll be great.
QUESTIONS:
Q: Will there be a Java port of this map?
A: There may be a chance that this will be ported on another platform like Java since I started working on this project on my phone, which is where Bedrock is available, and later on transferred to computer. The problem is, when we port this world to Java, some add-ons or mods, which include functions, custom entities and blocks, would be exclusive only to Bedrock. Also, some blocks such as banners would be changed without their patterns on it.
Q: Are there custom blocks used in the builds?
A: No. As of now, only blocks that are purely vanilla were used in builds. But if we're planning to make this world Bedrock exclusive, then there would be a chance we'll use custom blocks.
Q: When will you update the map publicly?
A: The update schedule is not regular like every month or so, but it is based on my daily schedule.
Q: If we're gonna help you finish the map, how would we be able to build directly to your world?
A: Oh, yes, I might be able to publish this map on a server operating 24/7, like Aternos. With that, we would be able to interact with each other by building. Just build responsibly. No unnecessary destruction.
