๐ŸŒ€ Morphing Bracelet Reborn: v1.5.73

Steal their shape. Keep their tricks. Hide the evidence.

Ever looked at a Creeper and thought,

“Yeah. I could probably get away with that.”

Morphing Bracelet Reborn: Redesign turns Minecraft Bedrock into one enormous disguise box.

Capture mobs. Absorb blocks. Unlock variants. Copy abilities. Transform into more than 1,100 packaged mob and block forms.

Become a cow and quietly join somebody’s farm.

Turn into stone and vanish inside a cave.

Fly as a Ghast, fire arrows as a Skeleton, unleash a Warden’s sonic boom, disguise yourself as a flower, or settle into your friend’s house as a crafting table that definitely was not there five minutes ago.

This is not just Steve wearing a badly fitted mob costume.

Your chosen form can change your:

  • Model
  • Animations
  • Movement
  • Sounds
  • Weapons
  • Abilities
  • Equipment visibility
  • First-person hands and held items

When you kill another player while disguised, the death message can blame the mob or block you became instead of exposing your player name.

๐Ÿงฌ Capture and Transform

The normal Morphing Bracelet is built for survival progression.

To unlock forms:

  • Defeat supported mobs while carrying the Bracelet.
  • Break supported blocks while carrying the Bracelet.
  • Sneak-use the Bracelet directly on a supported block.
  • Open the Bracelet menu and choose an unlocked disguise.

Captured forms are stored per player.

The normal Bracelet has durability and can eventually break, because apparently stuffing hundreds of souls into jewellery causes structural problems.

Recharge it by holding it while standing on:

  • Soul Sand
  • Soul Soil

The Bracelet can also be enchanted.

Unbreaking is strongly recommended.

Want Everything Immediately?

The Metamorphing Bracelet is the Creative/admin version.

It gives instant access to the complete packaged disguise library without making you capture every mob and block first.

๐Ÿฎ More Than 1,100 Forms

Transform into passive mobs, monsters, villagers, Illagers, Nether creatures, aquatic mobs, flying mobs, babies, variants, and bosses.

The library includes:

  • Cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and rabbits
  • Wolves, cats, foxes, and horses
  • Villagers, Illagers, and Piglins
  • Zombies, Skeletons, Creepers, and Spiders
  • Guardians, Blazes, Ghasts, and Shulkers
  • Wardens, Withers, and the Ender Dragon
  • Baby mobs
  • Tiny Takeover-supported variants
  • Biome variants
  • Colour variants
  • Equipment variants
  • Special mob states
  • Sulfur Cube variants
  • Hundreds of block disguises

Morphs use matching geometry, animations, sounds, movement styles, and abilities where supported.

Some forms move differently from a normal player because watching an Ender Dragon jog around like Steve would rather ruin the illusion.

Shulker Movement

Vanilla Shulkers do not walk around.

Unfortunately, being permanently welded to the floor is not particularly fun.

Shulker morphs therefore keep limited movement. The add-on now remembers whether it disabled your movement and does not turn another add-on’s movement lock back on by mistake.

๐Ÿ’š Safer Morph Switching

The Redesign now uses one shared transition system for Bracelet menus, Morph Storage, mob conversions, Shulker exits, spectator recovery, and Hard Reset.

This helps prevent old morph state leaking into the new form.

Current safeguards include:

  • Health percentage is kept when changing between forms with different maximum health.
  • Absorption hearts are left alone.
  • A lethal transition cannot bring the player back to life.
  • Fast A-to-B-to-C changes reject delayed work from the old form.
  • Mob conversions keep the correct target form, age, and biome.
  • Custom player names are restored instead of being replaced with the account name.
  • Effects and controls owned by other commands or add-ons are preserved.
  • Creeper fuse data and other temporary mob state are cleared on exit, death, leave, and Hard Reset.
  • Hard Reset keeps trying the remaining cleanup steps if one part fails.

Hearts and Armour HUD

Wither, Warden, and Ender Dragon use a percentage-health display.

Leaving one of those forms now restores the normal hearts and armour bars. Players joining with HUD state stuck from an older build also receive a one-time repair.

๐Ÿงจ Creeper Escape

Crouching as a Creeper primes the explosion, so it cannot also be the only way to open the morph menu.

While morphed as a Creeper:

  • Use either Bracelet normally to open its menu.
  • Choose Player or another morph to escape safely.
  • Crouch only when you actually want to start the explosion.

Other mobs keep their normal voice and crouch-menu controls.

โš”๏ธ Mob Weapons and Abilities

Certain forms automatically receive their signature equipment or powers.

Morph Weapon or ability
Skeleton, Stray, and Bogged Bow and matching arrows
Pillager Crossbow and arrows
Vindicator Iron Axe
Piglin Brute Golden Axe
Piglin and Zombified Piglin Golden Sword
Wither Skeleton Stone Sword
Vex Iron Sword
Enderman Teleporter
Blaze and Ghast Fireballs
Evoker Evoker Fangs
Guardian Guardian Beam
Warden Sonic Boom
Wither Wither Skulls
Ender Dragon Dragon Fireball
Breeze Wind Charge
Squid and Glow Squid Ink Blast
Llama Llama Spit
Silverfish Infest Block

Generated ranged equipment is now tracked separately from your own items:

  • Skeleton, Stray, and Bogged receive a usable bow and the correct ammunition.
  • Pillager receives a usable crossbow and arrows.
  • Generated arrows can move between the inventory and hotbar.
  • Missing generated gear is restored when space is available.
  • Duplicate generated items are cleaned up.
  • Generated gear is removed when you change to an unrelated form.
  • Your own bows, crossbows, and arrows are never deleted.
  • A full inventory is never overwritten.

Become the mob.

Use its tricks.

Try not to test the Warden sonic boom inside your own house…or do.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Morph-Aware Armour

Player armour and Elytra are hidden on animals, blocks, bosses, and other forms that have nowhere sensible to wear them.

This means:

  • Armour disappears on incompatible mob forms.
  • Elytra no longer hovers behind blocks and animals.
  • Block disguises are not surrounded by floating player equipment.
  • Withers and other unusual shapes do not wear armour around empty space.
  • Normal player form keeps normal player armour.
  • Armour trims remain visible on the player.
  • Dyed leather armour keeps its colour.
  • Enchanted armour keeps its glint.
  • Native mob layers remain separate from player equipment.

Player equipment is shown only where the real Minecraft mob can naturally wear it:

  • Zombie, Skeleton, Husk, Stray, and Bogged can show leather, Copper, gold, chainmail, iron, and diamond armour.
  • Piglin can show gold armour.
  • Unsupported mobs, babies, and materials hide the armour without removing it from your inventory.
  • Copper helmets, chestplates, leggings, and boots are supported.

Native effects such as Wither shielding, Charged Creeper energy, Stray/Bogged overlays, Nautilus armour, and other morph layers still belong to the morph.

Known issue: mob armour positioning and animation are still incorrect on some morphs, especially while looking around or using weapons. This remains work in progress in v1.5.73.

The important part is simple:

Turning into a chicken no longer leaves a full suit of armour floating around where Steve used to be.

โ˜ ๏ธ Death Messages That Preserve the Disguise

When you kill another player while morphed, the chat death message uses your active mob or block form instead of your player name.

Examples:

  • Alex was slain by Zombie
  • Alex was slain by Wither Skeleton
  • Alex was slain by Stone

This means:

  • Your player name is not exposed when your disguise gets the kill.
  • Mob and block morphs can both be credited.
  • Morph names use the player’s selected language where translations are available.
  • Normal player-form kills still show the real player name.
  • Ordinary mob, projectile, explosion, magic, and environmental deaths keep a matching death-message style.
  • Bee morphs without their stinger keep their special appearance after a kill.
  • Self-kills do not falsely blame the active morph.

For once, becoming a Wither Skeleton and murdering your friend does not immediately reveal who was inside it.

๐Ÿงฑ 478 Block Disguises

Why fight anybody when you can become part of the wall?

Transform into:

  • Stone
  • Dirt
  • Sand
  • Logs
  • Ores
  • Copper
  • Glass
  • Wool
  • Nether blocks
  • End blocks
  • Workstations
  • Lighting blocks
  • Functional blocks
  • Plants
  • Flowers
  • Mushrooms
  • Ladders
  • Hundreds of other suspiciously mobile pieces of scenery

Block forms can move normally or settle into the world for a much more convincing disguise.

Some blocks look perfectly acceptable while moving.

Some look slightly wrong.

Some look like ass until you settle.

It depends on the block.

๐ŸŒท Decorative Plant Disguises

The decorative set includes:

  • Dandelion
  • Poppy
  • Blue Orchid
  • Allium
  • Azure Bluet
  • Red Tulip
  • Orange Tulip
  • White Tulip
  • Pink Tulip
  • Oxeye Daisy
  • Cornflower
  • Lily of the Valley
  • Wither Rose
  • Brown Mushroom
  • Red Mushroom
  • Dead Bush
  • Short Grass
  • Fern
  • Tall Grass
  • Large Fern
  • Ladder

These are not full block cubes with a flower badly painted onto them.

The Redesign includes:

  • Dedicated crossed-plane plant geometry
  • Proper two-block-tall plant geometry
  • Dedicated ladder geometry
  • Correct grass and fern biome tinting
  • High-resolution menu icons
  • Complete capture events
  • Complete transformation mappings

You can now hide in somebody’s garden instead of merely becoming a dirt block and hoping they do not look down.

๐Ÿ”’ Settled Block Disguises

Settled disguises stay anchored to the world instead of following your camera direction.

You can look around without your supposedly ordinary block rotating every time you move your head.

Settled Controls

  • Sneak + Jump: settle your active block form.
  • Jump while settled: rotate the disguise by one quarter turn.
  • Sneak + Jump while settled: release the disguise and move again.
  • Choose the currently settled block again: release the disguise.

The lock applies across:

  • Standard blocks
  • Functional blocks
  • Decorative forms
  • Full cubes
  • Thin forms
  • Plants
  • Ladders

Recent settle fixes include:

  • Missed Jump+Crouch inputs have an event and polling fallback.
  • Changing morph while settled no longer leaves the new form invisible.
  • Settled invisibility expires automatically if cleanup is interrupted.
  • Failed proxy cleanup moves the player above the retained block instead of inside it.
  • Broken saved settle data can recover exact ownership from the world record.
  • The hidden ownership marker is silent, inanimate, and immune to gameplay damage.
  • Settled blocks no longer receive an unnecessary Resistance effect.
  • Campfires keep their required fire protection.

This means you can settle, rotate into position, and look around without exposing yourself as the world’s most nervous furnace.

๐Ÿฎ Lantern Camera Fix

A real Lantern placed around an invisible player can still collide with them.

Minecraft then pushes the player out while the settle system moves them back, making the camera jump.

In v1.5.73:

  • Lantern, Soul Lantern, and all four Copper Lanterns are visual-only while settled.
  • No real Lantern is placed around the hidden player.
  • The visual Lantern stays at the correct floor position.
  • An exact-owned invisible light keeps it illuminated.
  • Settled Lantern lighting remains active even when Dynamic Following Lights is off.

Visual-only Lanterns do not provide normal block collision or interaction.

Torch, Bell, Campfire, and ordinary full-block proxies keep their existing settle behavior.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Functional and Glowing Forms

Supported forms include:

  • Torches
  • Soul Torches
  • Copper Torches
  • Redstone Torches
  • Lanterns
  • Campfires
  • Bells
  • Barrels
  • Furnaces
  • Crafting Tables
  • Smithing Tables
  • Looms
  • Cartography Tables
  • Jukeboxes
  • Note Blocks
  • Droppers
  • Dispensers

Where safe, settled forms can create an appropriate real block or owned helper.

This can preserve:

  • Lighting
  • Sounds
  • Interaction
  • Animation
  • More accurate visuals

Dangerous technical blocks remain restricted or visual-only.

Becoming TNT does not quietly provide a convenient world-destruction button.

๐Ÿ’ก Invisible Moving Light

Luminous moving disguises use an invisible Minecraft light block instead of dragging a visible torch or glass helper behind the player.

The system:

  • Places an invisible owned light near the moving morph.
  • Removes the previous light before moving it.
  • Never replaces an occupied world block.
  • Never treats an ordinary world torch as disposable.
  • Cleans up on movement, morph change, settlement, death, dimension change, leave, spawn, and reload.
  • Works with normal Minecraft lighting and does not require RTX.

Dynamic Following Lights is enabled by default and can be switched off per player.

Turning it off removes only the moving light. Safe settled real blocks and visual-only settled Lantern lighting remain active.

๐Ÿ”Š Mob Voices and Block Sounds

Both Bracelets can play the current morph’s normal voice or action sound.

The sound list has been audited across the complete mob catalogue, including:

  • Babies and adults
  • Different sizes and states
  • Screaming Goat
  • Water and land variants
  • Copper Golem oxidation states
  • Sulfur Cube variants
  • Bosses and hostile mobs

All 478 block morphs also use the normal breaking or mining sound of their underlying block.

Sound controls preserve:

  • Creeper’s safe normal-use menu
  • Crouch-menu access
  • Shulker’s exit behavior
  • Settled Bell ringing

๐ŸŸ  Sulfur Cubes

All thirteen Sulfur Cube entries use the official Mojang Sulfur Cube menu portrait.

Their menu names, in-world inner blocks, and supported behavior remain different.

Variants include:

  • Bouncy
  • Regular
  • Slow Bouncy
  • Slow Flat
  • Fast Flat
  • Light
  • Fast Sliding
  • Slow Sliding
  • Sticky
  • High Resistance
  • Explosive
  • TNT
  • Hot

Supported differences include scripted hop profiles, knockback resistance, buoyancy, and Hot contact damage.

Releasing movement now stops another hop from starting because of leftover speed. You no longer need to crouch to stop bouncing.

Unsupported movement components that caused Minecraft to reject the entire player definition have been removed.

๐Ÿ‘‹ First-Person Hands and Held Items

Mob morph hands and held weapons can render again in first person.

This includes empty hands and supported generated weapons such as bows, crossbows, axes, and swords.

Block morphs use a separate first-person path:

  • The invisible player’s hands stay hidden.
  • Held items stay hidden.
  • Player walk-bob does not move the block camera.

Inventory previews may show the active morph, while the pause-menu player and map-face icon keep the normal player appearance.

๐Ÿ‰ Ender Dragon Model Repair

The Ender Dragon uses Mojang’s official model structure again, including the correct root position and exact vanilla neck template used to build the generated neck chain.

This replaces the temporary root and neck workarounds that could leave the Dragon split into separate pieces.

๐Ÿ”Ž A Menu Built for a Ridiculous Library

Trying to browse more than 1,100 forms one page at a time would be cruel.

The Bracelet menu includes:

  • Relevance-ranked search
  • Separate mob and block browsing
  • Alphabetical mob families
  • Logical block families
  • Pinned favourites
  • Recent transformations
  • Variant selection pages
  • Transformation effect settings
  • Custom icons
  • A Hard Reset recovery option

Search terms such as:

  • stone
  • baby
  • villager
  • copper
  • torch
  • flower
  • wool

return useful results instead of making you inspect hundreds of pages.

You can pin up to 12 favourite forms per player.

Version-Aware Menus

The complete morph list is kept in the add-on, but the menu checks what the running Minecraft version actually provides.

If a mob or block is unavailable:

  • It is hidden from the current menu.
  • It cannot be captured or selected.
  • Its stored, pinned, and recent ID is not deleted.
  • It returns automatically when the world is opened in a version that supports it.

โœจ Custom Transformation Effects

Choose from multiple transformation styles:

  • Arcane Materialize
  • Sky Strike
  • Prismatic Rift
  • Soul Spiral
  • Shadow Snap
  • Celestial Gate
  • Void Bloom
  • Ember Forge
  • Verdant Bloom
  • Frost Veil
  • Chrono Sigil
  • Oceanic Surge

You can also change the colour palette and effect intensity.

Intensity options include:

  • Soft
  • Normal
  • Showcase
  • Disabled

Particle limits are capped to remain friendlier to:

  • Mobile devices
  • Consoles
  • Realms
  • Multiplayer worlds
  • Computers that begin making aircraft noises when too many particles appear

๐Ÿงช Store and Share Morphs

Soul Glass Bottles let you store your current transformation and give it to another player.

To use one:

  1. Transform into the form you want to store.
  2. Use an empty Soul Glass Bottle.
  3. The current form is captured inside.
  4. Give the filled bottle to another player.
  5. They can use the stored disguise even if they have not captured it themselves.

Perfect for:

  • Multiplayer teams
  • Roleplay servers
  • Realm events
  • Trading rare forms
  • Helping new players
  • Questionable business deals involving bottled Creepers

๐Ÿ“˜ In-Game Guidebook

The included physical guidebook explains:

  • Crafting the Bracelets
  • Recharging the normal Bracelet
  • Capturing mobs
  • Capturing blocks
  • Searching for forms
  • Pinning favourites
  • Settling block disguises
  • Rotating settled forms
  • Functional blocks
  • Mob weapons and abilities
  • Transformation effects
  • Soul Glass Bottles
  • Hard Reset recovery
  • Multiplayer and Realm setup
  • Common troubleshooting

So your friends can learn the add-on without making you explain Sneak + Jump every five minutes.

They will still ask.

The book tried.

You tried.

We all tried.

โš™๏ธ Redesign Runtime

The Redesign keeps the original MBR experience while rebuilding the machinery underneath it.

The runtime includes:

  • One central recurring scheduler
  • Shared per-player morph sessions
  • Exact active morph identity
  • Safer health changes
  • Owned effects and input permissions
  • Exact generated-item ownership
  • Safer multiplayer isolation
  • Reliable cleanup when changing forms
  • Morph-aware multiplayer death messages
  • Localized mob and block kill names
  • Cause-aware ordinary death-message fallbacks
  • No runtime eval
  • No runtime new Function
  • Generated catalogue snapshots
  • Type checking, linting, JSON validation, and package validation
  • Separate development-only GameTests

Production packages do not include the GameTest pack.

It is still Minecraft Bedrock, so the possibility of completely unreasonable behaviour can never be eliminated.

๐ŸŽฎ Perfect For

  • Survival playthroughs
  • Hide-and-seek
  • Multiplayer chaos
  • Realm events
  • Roleplay
  • Stealth
  • Base infiltration
  • Creative testing
  • Mob battles
  • Adventure maps
  • Becoming one flower in a field and refusing to explain yourself
  • Killing your friends while disguised and letting chat blame the mob
  • Pranks that are probably worth being removed from the server for

๐Ÿš€ Installation

Install Steps

  1. Remove older MBR Redesign imports from Minecraft.
  2. Download and open the latest v1.5.73 .mcaddon.
  3. Allow Minecraft to import both packs.
  4. Activate the MBR Redesign v1.5.73 Behavior Pack.
  5. Activate the matching MBR Redesign v1.5.73 Resource Pack.
  6. Enable Beta APIs when requested.
  7. Require resource packs for multiplayer and Realm players.
  8. Load the world.

Both packs are required.

Development GameTests and archived definitions are excluded from the production package.

Do Not Mix Versions

Do not combine:

  • v1.5.73 BP with an older RP
  • v1.5.73 RP with an older BP
  • Redesign packs with files from the standard MBR release
  • Current packs with stale manually copied UI files

Mismatched packs can cause:

  • Missing textures
  • Invisible morphs
  • Broken geometry
  • Missing menus
  • Incorrect animations
  • Failed transformations
  • Forms that technically exist but resemble evidence from a crime scene

Minecraft may retain old imported pack files, so remove previous Redesign imports before testing a newer build.

โš ๏ธ Known Issues and Work in Progress

Mob Armour Positioning

Armour hiding and the natural-equipment rules are active.

However, mob armour positioning and animation are still a work in progress.

Some humanoid morphs may show:

  • Armour that is too high or too low
  • Parts moving away from the body
  • Bad placement while looking up or down
  • Bad placement while holding or using weapons
  • Incorrect bow or raised-arm movement

Normal player armour remains separate.

Minecraft Education 1.21.133

The minimum engine version has been lowered from Minecraft 1.26.0 to 1.21.133.

The Script API and compatibility-sensitive file formats were also lowered, and unavailable future mobs/blocks are hidden at runtime.

Static validation passes, but a full live import and GameTest run on Minecraft Education 1.21.133 are still required before support is called fully confirmed.

Visual-Only Lanterns

Settled Lantern-family morphs are visual-only so they cannot collide with the hidden player and shake the camera.

They provide owned light, but not normal Lantern collision or block interaction.

Morph-Aware Death Messages

Death-message behavior has automated test coverage.

Full real two-player confirmation is still recommended for mob-morph kills, block-morph kills, normal player kills, and ordinary environmental deaths.

Rare assisted-fall deaths or specially named weapons may use the closest available Minecraft-style message.

If the behavior pack is removed abnormally while players are active, run:

/gamerule showdeathmessages true

Custom Morph Cameras

Custom adaptive morph-camera modes remain disabled.

Normal Minecraft perspective switching is still available.

Beta APIs

Beta APIs are required.

Minecraft updates can change Script API behavior and may introduce new problems even when the add-on itself has not changed.

Stale Imported Packs

When testing a new build:

  1. Remove older Redesign imports.
  2. Restart Minecraft if necessary.
  3. Import the new .mcaddon.
  4. Confirm that the BP and RP versions match.

Do not report a morph as invisible while using a Behavior Pack and Resource Pack from different universes.

๐ŸŒ€ Become Anything

Capture the world.

Steal its shapes.

Use its abilities.

Hide your armour.

Become the mob, the block, the flower, the ladder, or the crafting table nobody remembers placing.

Kill your friends while disguised and let the death message accuse whatever shape you stole.

And when something inevitably looks cursed, press Hard Reset and pretend it never happened.
